Emilie Vanpoperinghe
Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder – Senior LeadershipEnthusiastic Zumba lover and Bodypumper, I also do a bit of running (though mostly after our little daughter right now).
Originally from northern France, I grew up in the countryside eating veggies from our garden. My grandparents were potato farmers and so I know what it takes to grow fresh produce.
6 years ago, I was shocked when I discovered the extent of food waste. Since then, we have been on a mission to share what we learnt, help bring awareness of the issue and drive better food choices.
I have always been passionate about leaving the world a better place and I am hugely grateful for the amazing team of passionate and talented people I work with at Oddbox. Prior to starting Oddbox, I worked for an non-governmental organisation working in developing countries to empower adolescent girls to reach their potential.
Transparency is a key value at Oddbox and we share both what we do well and what we cannot do yet.

About Oddbox
Oddbox is a community-powered weekly rescue mission to save delicious, fresh fruit and veg which is deemed ‘too big’, ‘too ugly’, the ‘wrong colour', or simply ‘too many’ from going to waste. We deliver our boxes directly from the growers to people’s doorsteps across the UK.
With food waste being a major contributor to greenhouse gas emissions, Oddbox is building a community that together can play its part in fighting food waste and tackling climate change. We're a proud B Corp and have delivered over ten million boxes since we launched in 2016.
